Position Available:
Assistant Swim Coach, Northbrook High School, Houston, TX (Spring Branch ISD)
- Assist with developing and implement a comprehensive scope of sequence and detailed daily practice schedules.
- Assist with creating and manage a UIL-compliant meet schedule, including coordinating all logistical aspects for both home and away meets, and ensure attendance at all competitions.
- Assist with leading and instruct daily swim team practices, providing effective coaching and guidance to student-athletes.
- Assist with maintaining accurate records of daily attendance, conduct, and grades using Skyward.
- Assist with establishing and maintain effective communication with parents, principals, counselors, Booster Club members, and both local and central athletics staff.
- Assist with overseeing and maintain the inventory of all swim team equipment, ensuring its proper care and functionality.
- Assist with actively recruit new students to participate in the swim program.
- Assist with developing and manage the team's budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources.
Required: Texas teaching certification. Preferred teaching fields include SpEd and Spanish.
Preferred: Coaching experience in swimming at the high school or collegiate level.
Required: Lifeguard Certification. Must attend Sweetwater Pools Lifeguard Review annually.
