May Madness Entries
May Madness Entries are now closed. Watch this space and our social media for the bracket information.
Here are the entries that we have received as of 5/27/20:
|Boys Teams||Girls Teams|
Your entry in NISCA's May Madness should be an ALL TIME, ALL-STAR dual meet line up pulled from your school's history of high school swimming and diving. These times can be taken directly from your school's top times list.
All rules that apply to regular National Dual Meet Ranking entries also apply to May Madness entries. This includes entry limitations (2 individual events, 4 events total for any athlete), times can only have been swum in high school competition (dual, tri, invitational and your state's championship series up to and through the state meet.), and swum while athlete was in grades 9-12.
Relay times must have been swum in a meet and can not be aggregates of best splits. An athlete cannot appear on both the "A" and "B" relays in the same event.
What is it: Using NISCA National Dual Meet Ranking power points construct a lineup of your high school's all time best dual meet lineup. This would include swimmers and divers from any year. All regular dual meet entry rules apply: Swimmers can be entered in 4 events maximum and no more than 2 individual events. All swims must have taken place during your schools regular high school season. And an individual cannot be on both your "A" and "B" relay in a particular relay event. We will be running a girls and a boys tournament.
Format: Using tournament brackets, schools will be seeded by power point totals and then "swum" in a dual meet. The match ups will be scored using NFHS 6 lane dual meet scoring. 8-4-2 for relays and 6-4-3-2-1 for individual events. We will score rounds and announce winners as schools move through the rounds to our "championship" dual meet.
This is all for fun. You don't have to be a member so play along. Follow NISCA on Twitter and join our Facebook page for results.
What this IS NOT: It is NOT this year's National Dual Meet Ranking line up. It is NOT your school's highest point total for a single year of the National Dual Meet Ranking.
The National Dual Meet Ranking power point form is available here: https://www.niscaonline.org/index.php/award-programs/national-dual-meet. Look for the pencil icon that says "National Dual Meet and May Madness Application" at the top of the page. Be sure to choose the correct gender (Male/Female) for your team. The points are different.
